1995 was a big year for Ted Sherritt. Not only did he start working at FLOFORM as Vice President of Finance, he also got married, became a father, bought a car, tent rental business and camper! Life is still exciting for Sherritt, who says he loves coming to work every day, and most enjoys FLOFORM’s people, who he calls the most committed in the industry. Day to day, Sherritt provides leadership through building relationships with major customers and suppliers, planning company strategy, training management, and motivating the staff. Sherritt enjoys golf, fine wines, fishing and family time. He’ll also be a grandfather soon, something he’s thrilled about!

Karen oversees and leads all areas of finance, accounting, taxation and insurance for FLOFORM (Canada). With the company for 12 years, Karen most enjoys the fast-paced, constantly-evolving work environment, as well as the many opportunities for personal growth and advancement FLOFORM provides. As if she wasn’t busy enough at work, Karen is also ring-leading a young family that takes up the rest of her energy. As time permits, she enjoys volunteering at her kids’ school and on the daycare board, and helping out at her local community centre.

An excellent view, an excellent meal, excellent customer service, virtually any kind of excellence is what motivates FLOFORM’s Chief Operating Officer, USA, Mike Birdwell. He applies that attitude to his excellent job too –directing and coordinating all of the company’s sales, marketing, and US operation functions. With FLOFORM since 2002, Mike says he enjoys working in a vibrant culture, with some of the most professional and fun people he has ever worked with, many of whom have become close friends. For fun, Mike enjoys biking, hiking, camping and golf…or just kicking back around a fire with friends and family.

Kelsey is a new addition to FLOFORM, but already Kelsey knows what she likes best about her job – the culture. As Human Resources and Payroll Coordinator, Kelsey gets to see employees’ passion for their jobs up close. She loves seeing people succeed in roles that they love, and companies succeed because employees are committed to its vision. Kelsey has also taken the extra step to further her career, earning her Certified Human Resources Professional designation. Outside of work, Kelsey is enjoying time with her young son and watching him grow.

Scott Bittner was told by a friend years ago he just “had to meet” FLOFORM’s CEO Ted Sherritt. That was in 2003 and he’s been a branch manager with the company ever since. Bittner is continually impressed by the culture at FLOFORM, his co-workers and the company’s commitment to quality. Outside of work, Scott likes sports, reading and spending time with his family.

Andrew MacLeod is inspired each day by FLOFORM’s growth each month, quarter and year. Branch Manager of FLOFORM’s Vancouver branch since 2010, Andrew is in charge of sales, marketing and operations, and says all of that growth and success would not be possible without the great people that make up great teams at FLOFORM. Andrew is no stranger to FLOFORM. In his previous role as a Regional Sales Representative for Wilsonart International, he was a supplier to FLOFORM and worked with all of the company’s Western Canada branches. A former competitive hockey player, skier and motorcyclist, Andrew likes to stay active. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf with friends.

With the company since its early beginnings, Brian has seen it all. He has worked in every area of the business, starting in production in the late 1970’s and working his way up to Branch Manager. Brian was instrumental in helping develop a dealer network and valuable partnerships that contribute to the company’s success to this day. Brian enjoys being a “hands-on” type of manager, even loading trucks or helping on an installation if need be. A new grandfather, Brian enjoys spending time with his family and is big into sports. He coached his now-grown sons’ baseball and hockey teams, and stays active by bowling and playing softball. Now he says he’s even considering adding curling to the mix!

Travis is a newer addition to FLOFORM, but brings with him over ten years’ experience in the countertop industry. During a portion of that time, Travis owned his own granite business and with that he brings knowledge of all aspects of the industry. Travis most enjoys the people at FLOFORM and the friendly, team-oriented environment. Seeing a customer’s satisfaction at the end of their project is what inspires Travis the most. In his spare time, Travis enjoys spending time with his family, friends, his two English bulldogs and working in his yard. If you can’t find Travis in his yard you can probably find him out on the golf course.
