TV Show filming at FLOFORM Victoria

There is quite a buzz happening in FloForm Victoria these days. Our  working kitchen in the showroom is being used as a set for filming an new TV series called Yum! Produced by Savoury Coast Productions.

It is a 13 episode half-hour culinary series commissioned by CHEK TV.  It will feature Vancouver Island chef Dwane McIsaac and a variety of guest chefs presenting Westcoast dishes utilizing local foods and drink. It will be broadcast throughout BC. In addition, 10 independent stations have picked it up so there will be exposure in the rest of Canada.

The show required some minor modification to our showroom. We temporarily relocated our kitchen island and replaced it with a movable island with a beautiful Volga Blue Granite Top. We plan on using the movable island for trade shows.

Filming began on Friday the 13^th. The daily schedule for Mondays through Saturdays  was such that prep work by the Chef and his assistant started at noon. The crew arrived @ 4:30 p.m. and started filming @ 5:00 p.m.  On Sunday they started at 9:00 a.m. and were done at 6:00 p.m.  The final day of filming will be Sunday January 22^nd.

There will be no interruption to our walk-in retail sales process. Quite the opposite! It has generated some excitement with potential clients.
